Join us in our mission to create a lasting social change with Colombia Digna Foundation.
At Fundación Colombia Digna, our mission is to provide education and resources to support mental health and wellness in our community.
By the end of 2030, the Colombia Digna Foundation will be positioned at the local, regional and national levels as mental and spiritual health provider; consolidating spaces and places of solidarity that help strengthen people and organizations.

In 2012 we created a non-profit organization in response to one of the most complex scourges in our country, that is drug addiction. The high number of children and adolescents who suffered and still suffer from this calamity has been our greatest motivation to materialize the purpose. It is clear that families do not know how to handle this problem, therefore, at Colombia Digna Foundation it was proposed as an objective to attend to families' psychological needs and use therapy to teach them how to manage this disease.
In 2014 we converted a country farm into a therapy centre with the capacity for 45 people, where young people of their own free-will asked to enter treatment. Since then, they receive help from psychologists and therapists specialized in the management of addictions.
Most of the young people and adults are street dwellers who do not have the help of their families, due to the multi-layered problems that they face. Most of these families are dysfunctional; single mothers who have limited resources.
Through this process, we identified the need to work with families on different emotions and pathological behaviours in group and individual counselling. We currently serve hundreds of children and families on an outpatient basis. Many of these counselling sessions are free of charge, since most families have very limited resources.

Likewise, since December 2012 we have carried out one of the most special projects for our organization: "Christmas with the Children," which is developed through the leadership of the youth group of our church in Colombia. We have been carrying out this activity for 12 years, which consists of going to rural areas. We gathered 150 children at the beginning of the project and currently there are approximately 800 children with whom we celebrate Christmas Day.We bring them different recreational activities, clothes, toys for each one and delicious snacks.
This activity is achieved thanks to the people and companies that, through their purpose and social projection, contribute to its realization. This is how every year we bring a smile to the most vulnerable children.
The Colombia Digna Foundation carries out several activities every year:
* Christmas with children.
* School kits at the start of school year for approximately 500 children.
* Visit homes of the elderly, bringing them a day of recreation and provision according to their needs

* We help several children with a sponsor plan for education (school or university).
* We provide psychological and therapeutic support to children and young people suffering from abuse or who come from a vulnerable family.
* Emotional health brigades in schools, colleges and homes for the elderly.
* Food kits from the family basket (markets) to families with extreme need.
* Reforestation campaigns, creating awareness about environmental protection.
This has all been made possible thanks to the management of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Colombia. Our next project is to build a church and a monastery, so that we can spiritually care for our entire community.
We look forward to your contributions!
